Football is here!

Football is here!! The first game is this weekend in Texas against Oklahoma. This is going to be such a great game. Shane is doing really good in football he is starting kick off and punt. We hope he will also get to see some playing time else where but we will see how the season goes. Shane is going to be #51 this year. That was what he had to settle for because they done give #9 to linebackers. I am really excited for this year. It is so fun to watch and we involved. This is going to be a GREAT season. GO COUGARS!!!!!

The Fourth

What a few couple of weeks it has been. The month of July is by far my favorite. Normally Carrie is the one to do these little updates but I figure I can help her out this month because it is my favorite time of the year. We started it off by taking the long boring drive to Idaho Falls for the Fourth of July. We have to be there every year because the fireworks are the best and the Menan softball tournament. Unfortunately this year we took second in that. It was a great tournament until we met a stingy daddy daughter team. From the get go it seemed as if fate was on their side. One seven run inning and we were in too big of a hole to come back. Carrie played great though picking up a couple of base hits that helped us climb out a little bit. We were all heart broken over the defeat but look forward to next year and redemption.
The pain of the lost tournament was soon forgotten when we went down to the river to watch the fireworks with the Bairds and the Hunters. It was a lot of fun walking around with Baby Addi and seeing her like or dislike of the fireworks. I was unsure of her true feelings. The fireworks as usual did not disappoint and we paid our respect to the late Wayne Richards. The fourth wasn't the same without him. All in all it was a great trip to Idaho Falls.

LAKE POWELL

The dead deer that was washed up on a rock in the middle of the lake.

Who are those Crazy People in the Trees?

I know I have a funny look on my face.

Blue Steel
Last week we went with my sister Amy and her family to Lake Powell. It was a great time. They are so kind to take us with them. We are so thankful for them and all they do for us. This year Shane, Angie, Brady, Casey, Lindsay, Jack, McCall, Amy, Duff, Kace, Kassidy, and I went. The weather was suppose to be bad but it turned out pretty good. We had a lot of fun playing games, surfing, and just being with each other. One of the craziest things was seeing a dead deer at the bottom of a cliff surrounded by water. It amazed all of us. We always look forward to going. Special thanks to Amy and Duff for taking us on their house boat and boat.
